The 'Ruffian' weapon category covers me nicely, since it also includes pistols and stilettos for offhand use. Great category for pirate types.
What class are you playing? Rogue?
I started there, then swapped to Fighter so I could fully specialize in Ruffian weapons.
But just this morning I remade the character as a chanter to see if I liked that better. The very first Cutlass Jack character I made was an Everquest Bard and the Chanter class here mixes some gameplay from that (song twisting) with song composition from Vanguard. Still undecided if I like that over the Fighter version. But taking them to the same point of the story before committing.
I swear I spend more time in the creator than actually getting somewhere. :D
Plus I like the accuracy so it's all good.
I'm mad about the weapon specialization bundles though. Wtf? If I take the Noble talent for daggers I can't get a damn ranged weapon bonus? Even if I chose something else I want Arbalests, and I don't like the weapons in the arbalest set
I thought backstab bonus only apply to attacks made within 2 meters of the target.
You mean slashing for sabres? Or you meant something other than sabres?
