Why can i carry only 4 camping supplies?

play on easy to carry 6 or hard to carry 2.

Because Obsidian decided to make an arbitrary resting restriction mechanic - You can choose to spend a fortune in "you can rest" charges or just walk back to an Inn and do it for free.

Edit: You can bypass it through mods or memory hacking though. Whatever is your fancy.

AHEM, more seriously, though, yeah it's a restriction, and it depends on the difficulty. I don't actually have much of a problem with it, hell, I hardly notice it.

Back in the days we just put down our bedrolls whereever - Sure there was a very real chance of waking up with Gnoll drool in your face...but you took that risk :)

While I like the sudden encounter system while resting without having hard cap on supplies (or maybe have based on weight or something), even then it could easily become save scumming until you have rested safely.

I like the mechanic. Makes sense to me that some camping supplies would be consumable - firewood, water, bandages and whatnot.

Sort of makes up for having no inventory limit (which I also like).

Except you can - there are plenty of places to rest for free and no penalty for travelling.

dont know for other difficulties, but on hard you can only carry 2 camping supplies with you

I think that largest problem is that you can rest for free at inns. It would probably be better if they removed the carry limit for camping supplies, and then removed the free rooms at inns.

Resting for free doesn't give you any stat bonuses though; you have to pay for those.

Instead of fighting the system, learn to beat it on its own terms. Don't spam resting when you don't need to.

Neither does a campfire rest - So that's irrelevant.

And we all know how scarce firewood is...

It's okay for adding some difficulty where you have to decide to fight on or rest, but it's kind of stupid when it actually works out to lengthening the game when you constantly run back and forth to an Inn.
