Offensive caster -> Might/Int Primaries
Flanker -> Might/Dex/Perception
Tanker -> Con/Res with a little Int for buffs/regen duration.
Might: 18
Con: 12
Dex: 10
Per: 10
Int: 12
Res: 16
This is more for the single target/DoT druid playthrough, I know they have a LOT of AOE spells. In which case I'd switch Int and Res.
The races I'm using with it are Nature Godlike (Mostly for lore purposes) Or Moon Godlike for the sweet healing passive at 75%, 50% and 25%
Just choose what you want the character to be exceptional, and build around it.
Also remember that the stats all work for everything. So Might is both physical and magical strength, as well as healing power.
Int increases the size of physical AoEs just as well as magical ones.
The system is great for hybrids.
I have a Hearth Orlans for the racial benefit that you get if you attack an enemy at the same time someone else in your party is attacking them. I maxed intellect and almost maxed might. My tertiary skill was dexterity. (Some ppl put dex as high as might and leave resolve at 10). I bumped resolve to 12 IIRC for the boost to deflection and concentration. (Concentration is good for casters so they don't get interrupted.) I left perception at 10 but some ppl will bump that for deflection (I'd put it in resolve instead if that's the reason) and also dialog choices. I think I made con 8 (which is one reason I bumped Resolve).
What I'd do:
Max intellect. Next might/dex should both be fairly high. (Maybe favor dex if you'll be using fast weapons or spells and might if you'll be favoring slow weapons and spells.) Resolve for deflection. Perception for dialog (if you care about that). Put what's left over in con but I wouldn't make it lower than 6-8 unless you're good at PoE combat.
FWIW, I wouldn't make a druid my primary tank bc they only have moderate deflection. They can be good damage dealers, esp with their AoE spells (but even with just weapons) if you want. They also make decent secondary tanks IME.
What were you planning to do? I'd be interested in your ideas about how to build a druid.
Why would you switch Int and Res for an AoE build? You want higer Int for AoEs.
I am currently playing a Pale Elf Druid Dissident.
Might: 14
Con: 10
Dex:14
Per:10
Int:19
Res:11
I dont know how well these stats will hold up with my play style, im not used to playing CRPGs so stat building is something im fairly new to.
I just started this character a little bit ago so it wouldnt hurt to reroll if they arent very good stats.
They are built as:
14 Might (I need a little extra damage)
10 Con (More focused on defense than health, as some things do a lot of damage.)
10 Dex
10 Per
18 Int (Buff/Regeneration/Shapshift duration is going to be important.)
16 Res (Interupt Defense, Deflection and will, I have a lot of will.)
Then I am going spear+shield primary (the spears accuracy boost compensates for the shield), with a scepter off hand (slash/crush)
Will be picking talents that increase my defensiveness.
I don't know what you get with Pale Elf or Dissident but IMO the build should work with those attributes. I hope it works like you want.
Ah thats right, they moved duration to Int post beta right? I did not play in the beta.
My bear form popps people when it hit them. They just turn into splatters.
I believe most forms get 10 damage reduction (on par with heavy armor), but don't get speed penalties. Which is awesome for the early game. I hear it doesn't hold up as well in the late game, but 10 DR and zero penalties should at least still be tolerable as an off-tank only taking the random hit or two.
