i dont see why , but there it is
However, there are quite a lot of items and enchantments that can increase statistics. Those aren't easy to get early on though. You can also get attribute increases (temporarily) from consumable items and resting at an inn.
Your attribute build at the start is very important, really. My level 9 wizard who I had given 14 might (not ideal, but wanted some other attributes higher for dialogue purposes) I've managed to get up to 17 might by the time he got to level 9.
Kinda screwed up too with my char stats btw. The essential mechanics of the game could be more developped at character creation. Still confused about some aspects...
So are there potions or tomes or something that gives you a permanent boost independent of item equips? Or is it quest reward based? (Please spoil me here)
There is no way to increase your stats. Your initial build is what you will have forever. Leveling up only makes you more endurant.
But there are items that give attribute bonuses. They are hard to find initially, but they give +1/+2 to 1/2 stats. A combination of found and enchanted gear will allow you to upgrade your main stats, but the same bonus from two sources does not stack.
So this basically means, if you created a char with 18 might, you will have at most 20 might at end game. So min-maxing to get a +2 in 3 stats is a big boost.
Weapons are similarly static. At level 1 mobs will drop a sword. At level 12 they will drop the same sword. Sure, at this level you will find a ton of enchanted swords, but the base stats are the same.
personally i wouldn't but ... if you dont care about your achivments you can edit it using the console commands - thats the only way
but again , im really not for it
