usually its every 5 levels if I remember correctly with D&D, every 5 levels you get one extra stat point to use. There will probably be additional ways to get stat points in teh game as well.

It's every 4 lvl in d&d, and this game doesn't use d&d mechanics.

I sure hope they implemented that feature because my Paladian's stats need improvements.

I've checked the wiki and the player's manual and there's no indication that attributes will increase based on level.

So does this mean the attributes is fixed during char creation?! Crap I buffed up by Rogue's constiution instead of might & dex hoping I can increase it later.

Well, there are enchanted items that increase your stats when worn/used.

well im level 5 now and still no upgrade to attributes , so im guessing there is non
i dont see why , but there it is

You don't naturally gain attribute improvements, no. You don't get any from leveling up.

However, there are quite a lot of items and enchantments that can increase statistics. Those aren't easy to get early on though. You can also get attribute increases (temporarily) from consumable items and resting at an inn.

Your attribute build at the start is very important, really. My level 9 wizard who I had given 14 might (not ideal, but wanted some other attributes higher for dialogue purposes) I've managed to get up to 17 might by the time he got to level 9.

funny that in most rpgs, even in the earlier versions of dnd, there was no way to increase your core abilities (except by magical/technological means, itemsand so on...). And that became somehow a requirement in crpgs...

Kinda screwed up too with my char stats btw. The essential mechanics of the game could be more developped at character creation. Still confused about some aspects...

I wish I knew this sooner.. well, rather late than never I guess

So are there potions or tomes or something that gives you a permanent boost independent of item equips? Or is it quest reward based? (Please spoil me here)

I did a lot of research this weekend to try and find out how to increase my stats and power because this game is hard as ♥♥♥♥.

There is no way to increase your stats. Your initial build is what you will have forever. Leveling up only makes you more endurant.

But there are items that give attribute bonuses. They are hard to find initially, but they give +1/+2 to 1/2 stats. A combination of found and enchanted gear will allow you to upgrade your main stats, but the same bonus from two sources does not stack.

So this basically means, if you created a char with 18 might, you will have at most 20 might at end game. So min-maxing to get a +2 in 3 stats is a big boost.

Weapons are similarly static. At level 1 mobs will drop a sword. At level 12 they will drop the same sword. Sure, at this level you will find a ton of enchanted swords, but the base stats are the same.
