Get your 2 tanks in a door. Keep te elf mage back. Focus on 1 at a time. If they teleport, pause and shift around. Or let them KO the mage, He'll wake up when you beat them. Also, come back later. That's how they used to be.

You can leave the temple and get help, I left and built my party to 4 people in the area. Then return.

try using spells/skills/weapons raising your accuracy or spells/skills lower there deflection (including conditions)

I went and did some side quests first and when I came back it was way easier.

You need to build a party at the inn. Sell some of the loot you've found so far. Then carry on doing other quests from the town and around, and you'll level up in no time. That should be enough to get your thru the temple and complete the main quest there (even if you cannot take on 100% of the mobs in it).

Go to the black hound inn and hire two followers for just this dungeon. Get a Priest for heals and something else of your choice. Only way I was able to kill them. I was raging when I thought I was about to win then more shadows spawn.

If you kill the shades first the shadows despawn so focus the shades down.

It's the Shades that are the problem... Find the priest (Magran's Fork) and buff party with Bless to gain more accuracy and eat some food with added accuracy so you can hit them also they BLIND (cant hit nothing while blinded!) you so beware of that. :adambane:

and in the village you get two companions for free (mage and fighter)

Yup, it's hard and that's why it's so good. Overcoming the obstacles in this game gives me a sense of acomplishment I haven't experienced in a long time while playing a game.
Anyone tried the henchmen you can rent at the inn? How long do they stay with you?

Forever from what I can tell... You pay the rent and then create a character from scratch. :adambane:

jupp unlimited. they just have no banter, backstory or sidequests
Sentinel Mar 27, 2015 @ 8:15am
Go grab the priest south of Gilded Vale.

henchmen are like playing BG with multiplayer chars in singleplayer.

They stay with you, but they have no story or anything.
I just pretend its my sister or something xD

Nice. Time to buy myself some cheap meatshields :D

Basically - The Temple is not intended to be done right as you enter town. It's yet another one of those weirdly placed encounters "off the beaten path" that will utterly decimate you if you aren't prepared accordingly.

For a CRPG the game is surprisingly anti-exploration.
