Anyone killed a forest lurker yet?

I might be too low level, but yikes.

They 'tangle' or whatever it is, every shot and wiped my party of 4 in about 20 seconds on multiple reloads.

Any advice?

I managed to take down a group of two them with party that had no one higher than level 3, though I had 5 characters (2 priests) and a ranger antelope. I had a spellcaster slow them with some webbing and tried to constantly make them slip, fall, and interrupt with oil, while keeping my melee characters back from them for as long as I could -- and letting the rest of my characters assault them with ranged projectiles. It was a pretty close match.

I have my Cipher/wizard sneak and paralyze them. All the melee are packing arbalests. He launches the stun they all shoot once then switch to they their melee and rush in. Play it on hard the drop with ease. Sometimes the melee don't even make the run. It's dead before they get there. (playing on hard diff)

One or two meatshields and arbalest for everyone else ! A little bit of stun, prone or blinding spells and there you go, lurker gone :)

Use Durance's Halt to root one. Use Eder's knockdown on the other. Watch the root timer to recast it when it wears off.

EDIT: you're talking about those 2 lurkers in front of some ruin, yes?

That's odd. I just killed them off yesterday and I didn't notice any special attacks from them causing any problems.

I was playing solo on normal difficulty with a level 5 Paladin.

Get a couple more followers, they are tough on hard with level 2 chars. Might have to buy 2. Also, drink some beer or whatever you can right before the fight, every bit helps.

Had 4 party level 3x3 1 level 2 use CC, paralize and the wizzy 2 time spell he gets for free every combat to daze, also the blind spell works like a charm either the freeze cloud one or the other one you can pick as you level wizzy. Its all about debuffing and CCing them. You can also use the stop spell which you can spam and focus on them one at a time. Remember, pause in your friend :P

first time i came across them i ran away lol. second time thou i had a slightly larger party, one higher lvl then before, and i debuffed it so it was easier for my team to hit it. Also i used crushing weapons with high DR because it seems to eat up perice and has a high DR.

Yes. As a rogue with a bow. Let it chase you till it turns back..shoot again and run away..it will follow for a moment then head back..then turn around again and shoot..rince and repeat. Takes some time but does not work too well with things that regenerate fast..:)

They were pretty tough...I was on the ropes bc I thought I would clean them up real quick...I was cocky.

Almost unkillable solo TOI+POD. I think their 'stuck' is bugged - if they land a stuck during a prone it extends the prone duration and your char stops attacking.

Glad to hear it wasn't just my sheer noobness and others are having bother with these. I got 1 down to 1 red dot and the other to 3 red dots but my main dropped to zero HP so I reloaded... Think I'll mayube try the ranged method this time, my fighter breezed through it though, the paladin had a rougher time and my druid got creamed in hand to hand combat, will hold my druid back in support this time... evryone did ok really but they have so many buffs, what type of damage is good againt them? I'm guessing maybe fire and I think I seen a spear so piercing maybe.

Where can I buy some gear, like better armour and good weapons? I have only unlocked the first town and theres still no heavy armour for tanks. I started clearing out the castle earlier, but was killed by a big group of ghosts and stuff near the top of the map, still need to finish that area.
