Should I sell the hides?

wolf hides, bear hides, etc. They only sell for 5cp so I wonder if I should keep them in the stash or if they're used for crafting or something?

got to Defiance bay and still saw no opportunity to craft using wolf or boar or lion hide. Can smbd confirm they are usable later on ?

You can really see most crafting options from the menu at any time. You can craft food, scrolls, potions and weapon/armor upgrades of various types.

Each craft recipe requires one creature part, one plant and one gem. I haven't seen a recipe for hides specifically yet. But since stash space is plentiful and they aren't worth much there's no reason not to hold onto them just in case.

I'm guessing you can see the options for crafting armor/weapons later? (I only see potion/scroll/food) or do you mean like 'enchantment' that you can do on existing armors/weapons?

Enchantments on existing armor weapons. Thats why I said 'upgrade.'

I have yet to find a usage for the Hides though. Seeing as they don't sit in the same stash page as other craft supplies, I'm guessing if they have a use, its not crafting.
