Expert mode

Can anybody tell me what exactly expert mode does/disables?

Not exactly. I did notice when selected it no longer highlights "This is highly recommended" in the character creation screen, so I'm guessing it is largely tutorial stuff new to the genre and probably nothing major to actual gameplay.

It basically removes tooltips, tutorials and any kind of meta game knowledge (Like seeing what kind of outcome a discussion topic has or the requirements)

Hmmm I´m not sure whether I want that or not :/ Especially the dialogue options. Sounds like you might not even recognize "special" dialogue options unlocked by skills.

Expert is basically "Going in blind" mode. I wouldn't recommend it unless you've completed the game before or have a preference for masochism.

The biggest drawback for me is no area effect highlighting when you cast spells. Being able to precisely target ...need that. Each spell has a friendly and no friendly-fire area.
