Well...if you buy a boat and start traveling west across the Pacific...
I think if you live PST it will be 10 or 11am depending on whether daylight savings time is factored in
Yea I am not good with that time zone thing where exactly in the world is it midnight when its 9am pst. 9 time zones to the west correct. Thats somewhere in Russia isn't it. Just a guess.

Yup, most Steam releases are at 9AM PST (used to be 10AM PST) and Obsidian confirmed the 9AM PST release on their forums, maybe it will change though.
Yeah I hate the West Coast USA centric release times too.
Sucks.. I'm leaving at exactly 9am for my girlfriends birthday x.x
Losing like 30 hours of Eternity gaming!
Where the hell does your girlfriend live?!?

Haha

I personally enjoy that games are all being released at the same time instead of midnight here or midnight there. That is because I do not believe that someone living in england should get the game before someone living in the Americas or someone living in Japan.

It does kind of stink that all these releases are based on one time zone though (I can give yall that)
Noon o clock in Michigan then it seems.....not mad though, gotta work till 5:30 Thurs, It will be waiting for me and it will feel like Xmas.

Yeah i am not sure what i am doing up. I have to get up for work in 4 hrs lol
Equivalent of 7 PM in my region.
May as well call it an early 27th release.
Unless there is a day one patch that fixes gamebreaking things, I don't see why we still follow this archaic release schedule. For a competitive shooter with ranks I can a reason for a strict release schedule so everyone is equal when it goes live, but for a single player game it makes no sense.

Back in the days of little or no internet, releasing a movie on a Tuesday meant everyone knew when new things were coming out. Now with information overload and online downloading, it's just annoying to customers. I think you'd be hard pressed to find even one player that thinks it's a good idea to wait until 26th to play, even though the copy we are pre-loading now was done a week ago.
There will be a 0 day patch, they already announced it.

Besides, there is another reason. Them launching it when it is 9 am in their own timezone means they will have the best possible response time for en emergency patch if a bad bug slipped their QA. You cannot test for everything...
it builds up anticipation.... and I do not think a single person in here (minus the trolls)can argue with that.

That's a good point
With the unlock time on the Steam store, that looks like it's 9AM PST, not PDT. Many timezone calculators on the internet assume you mean PDT when you say PST, since daylight saving in the US has already started (Europe switches this Sunday).

I.e. the game unlocks 17:00 UTC. That's 18:00 CET.
