Movement type: WASD or point and click?
Does this game allow for WASD movement or is it point and click only? I absolutely hate point and click games so would like to know before I buy it.

It's a party based crpg. If it has wasd at all, I'd wager it's just for camera movement.

P.S. you hate point and click games but play 50 hours of cities skylines.

Are you serious? You think cities skylines is the same as an RPG for movement? /facepalm

Ya, good call. I can see why you are having trouble distinguishing between a RPG and a city builder. They are so similar it is difficult sometimes to pick out the nuances that set them apart...

Luckily, in City Skylines, I can use WASD movement..

Most likely point and click like the old Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale games but maybe it could be set that way if you wanted :)

It's point and click, what top down rpg even uses wasd...

Shhhh people, it's an isometric RPG, like the good ol' days yah? BG series? Icewind Dale series? We want point and click, and we got it, be grateful. ^^

That's why I was asking. I wanted to know before wasting my money. These games usually are point and click. I love the premise of these games but for me the movement destroys it. Oh well, enjoy your game.

Good for you making sure a game suits your taste before you buy it. Excellent practice and I'm sorry you had to deal with rabid fanboys getting pissy over a simple question.:teabagged:

No problem lol...I just remeberd an rpg that has wasd movement, you can try darkensang if it ever goes on sale, plays like dragon age origins if you liked that and has wasd movement.

come on now... everyone admits this is a niche game and he just asked a simple question. You're a bit harsh to a dude who has been completely respectful.

@ OP

If you can handle a bit dated graphics you could take a look at Wizardry 8. That's a pretty solid RPG. Controls with keyboard for movement and is first-person view (though you can have up to 6 char's plus two npc's).

I am just curious about what turns you off so much about point and click movement? I think it is an elegant and simple method for moving your dudes around the screen.

You are of course entitled to your opinion, I am just curious.
