Any way to compare currently equipped items with Shop items?

Hello. Just started playing PoE. I just hit the first town. That tree....wow.

Anyways, I was visiting the blacksmith and wanted to compare what my Dwarf War(orginial I i know ) with what the smith had for sale.

I am not getting any kind of popup comparing the two items, like I would if I comparing items in my inventory or stash. Is there a key or something I need to press to see this or is there no option to compare?

Not that I am aware of. This is something they should definitely fix with a patch.

it should and does for me just hovor over the item. it only works with the currently equiped item not any of the other weapon groups equiped.

its always worked here no need to press anything so theres something up on your side.

I was speaking about the limitations of the "Sale Item" screen and how player's equipment can't be accessed from there. I am aware that hovering over the equipment in the "Paper Doll" screen DOES show a comparison.

However, if one is truly interested, by clicking on the character in the "Sell Stuff" screen, you can the "Compare" the sell item with the item in the same slot on the character you just clicked. It is very clumsy, but it does show a 'comparison' of sorts.

oh ya my bad been playing wasteland a bit and it does work in the shop on that game there. sorry got confused.
