Bear Cave
I'm only level 2 and the bear is killing me. Can I come back to the cave later? - Thanks

yes, in the next village you can enhance the party with premade and custom members

Thanks. I was worried that an Npc might die.
Cheers!

If you can't beat the bear on Easy\Normal - you'd better make new character.

My Cipher almost beat it on normal. I got it to badly damgaged, but it takes me down in 2 swipes.

Best to have a party of 3 for that quest.
Eder , aloth and your character should be enough (with some buffs like DR beer :)
By level 2.

It's supposed to win against new players, that's it purpose, teach danger.

Bear Cave is some serious check for your new character. ;-)
Just go to next village to grab Wizard and Fighter and come back to show that furball who is the boss.

Thanks,

I'm level 3 now with 2 companions. Just thinking about what to buy at the smithy...Probably the grappling hook...cheers!

Things like the grappling hook are one time use items to get acces to extra areas or alternative paths. I find them worth it but remember, one time use :P

I usually just run through that map on the road, stopping only to talk to the guy by the cart that lost his buddy. Just get to gilded vale then come back with the beginnings of your larger party and mop things up no hassle. Area effect makes that fight quick to knock out the two cubs. The druid's cone is great for it.

Cubs? I never even saw the cubs! :-)
I'm higher lever and better equipped now, so I'll do the cave or the underground temple. I was getting the grappling hook to climb the wall iin an area near the bear cave.

Everything's seems really expensive, but I have lots of junk to sell. Hmmm..

The economy will crash once you flood it with second hand armor and weaponry. But yeah you start scraping pennies.
Second Batch Aug 16, 2015 @ 12:30am
The cubs might not be there on lower difficulties. I'm not sure. Don't forget all the stuff going into your stach to sell.

Yeah... First time playing this game, Hard > Iron > Expert Bleak pala tough as hell so far, takes no dmg... went to bear cave after the guy said "don't go to the bear cave" I had many heals/vet... got torn to bits now I've got to start again... lol

You mean solo? Or are you're planning to get companions? Even a Paladin with heavy investments into defenses will suffer from a hit or graze eventually. Be careful!
