Some people will immediately bring up Divinity Original Sin, but I disagree. Yeah, it's a cRPG, yeah it may seem similar at first look. But if the thing you love about PoE is consistent writing and atmosphere (specifically grim fantasy), then it may dissapoint.
I know I'm in a minority with this opinion, since seemingly everybody loves those games. I did like the whole Divinity series too - up until DoS2, which completely went off the rails with it's cartoony feel and very inconsistent writing and atmosphere throughout the game world, also the combat became too damn convoluted in that game.
its great
And PoE was heavily inspired by Baldur's Gate 1&2 if you haven't played those yet.
But the two Pathfinder games would probably be the closest otherwise.

Tyranny.
Pathfinder Kingmaker.
Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous.
Neverwinter Nights 2.
That's IMHO, of course, and not authoritative.
Been holding off buying BW DLC until I start Tyranny, problem is the price of this DLC costs more than say Kingmaker for a full game.
