Godlikes are not even able to wear helms for the same reason. If I was a Godlike, Id be even more interested than the average-joe in wearing a cowl.
You might need IEmod for it to work, but I'm not sure. You can find IEmod on Nexus.
It's a highly customizable and awesome mod in its own right.

Some of those command are added with IEmod, some are not. It's still worth checking out this mod, I use it to change my UI, and some QOL stuff like normal walking speed when sneaking.
I wish they made it posssible to enchant helmets. That way I could stick with ones that doesnt look odd, like cowls or full helmets, without gimping myself.
