I just failed the task "Hard Feelings" - I don't know how to trigger it...

I just killed a lot of Doemenels. No problem because I had a terrible reputation already and then I got the banner that I failed the task.

What is this task? Any decent rewards? I'm guessing it's ripping off one of the manors nearby...There's nothing on the Wiki either. Thanks!

In this quests you beat up an old boyfriend of Doeme's daughter... when you do it, she becomes a shopkeeper and sell you stuff.

For changing the guard, it is a quest the Doemes give you which consists of assasinating one of the knight of the crucible leaders.

And yes the Doeme's house and guards have a lot of good stuff if you are early on in the adventure, mostly regular guns. :)

I think hers is the only shop in the game which sells exceptional firearms, which made me really regret killing her on my first playthrough. You can still get exceptional firearms later by enchanting regular ones, but if you want the really nice-looking arquebus with a gold finish you need to be sure to buy it from her before you kill everyone.

Not for Hard Feelings, or the Two Story Job. Accepting changing of the guard will lock you into the Domenel faction and prevent you from joining the knights or the Dozens.
