Durgan Steel and Soulbound weapons

Hey guys, is it intended that I cannot enchant soulbound weapons with durgan steel? If so, why that? I mean those weapons are probably the most powerful weapons in the game, so why not improve them?

because they were crafted with technomagic that no longer exists in the game world; you read about it during the durgans battery quest...and would pretty OP with the durgans layered on top of them.

But more to the point, its there to give you a choice...enchant up a unique with superb and durgans, or use soulbound.

I think its a good game design decision once the Soulbound weapons go through a balance pass.

okay, never thought about it that way, but sounds reasonable. So basically its up to me to use either a soulbound weapon or a standard unique one with durgan steel where both weapons are nearly on the same level.

In that case I will probably stick with the soulbound ones and use the durgan steel on the armors.
