rush the stronghold?

Do any of you rush to get stronghold so you can upgrade is and get early turns as early as possible?

I would rather rush to the stronghold to get anti-ghost weponds(guns) so non-casters can deal with ghosts. The turns are given by quests(exp) while the hierling cost and building time is given by game time(days), meaning you get more turns if you hold of quest. At the same time the total number of turns are limited. If you really want to optimise, you should get a bunch of gold and maximise the stronghold(all upgrades) before doing additional quests in order to have the maximum possible number of positive events.

(It would be pretty grindy, and probably not really worth it :) )

And how do you grind gold without doing quest?

The goal is gold without exp(that we take when the keep is done). If we say that we igore the exp gained from etering new ereas we can rob all the houses(be carfule with who you kill as they may give you exp in quests, but if you are crule the ones who you can kill the ones who don't) and kill the monstergroups that don't yeild exp. Selling unique items some yeild 1000s of gold each. If you really want to use the exp from new areas for turns you probably need to cheat :). You may need to lookup where the money items are. You may need to rob defiance Bay too taking a talking a litle exp increase getting there.

If you accually do it you should keep track of the exp you endup taking so you can see if you can improve it.
