I got the prompt for the veteran soldiers but was actually short on cash at the time, I said so but accidently clicked through the dialogue afterwords. Now the option appears to no longer be available.

Wait what? I literally was as diplomatic as I could have been... this must be one of those cases where only a very specific approach works to persuade them...

It took me five tries, but in the end I finally persuaded Adaryc. I think you have to pass several checks (Intelligence 14, Resolve 17 or 16, don't remember and also disposition check for niceness) and then you have to choose the correct options to persuade him. You have to be rational and nice to him.

This is the same for me. I don't know whether it's a bug or not.

I'm quite sure this is not the case. I got him as an ally with a 9 int, dumped res rouge. I dont know if I passed any checks bc I was playing on expert mode but I'm sure you dont need high res or int to pass this conversation (or at the very least, there is another way besides having high int and res)

I had the matron's ogres help me, some veterans that cost 10k and the dozens and the royal guys assassins that tried to attack me but backed off at the inn.

The patch solved my issue of buying veterans for the battle. Marshal Forwyn let's you buy them now after initialling waiting.

I finally tried getting Kolsc to help, thinking maybe I could get some veterans, or some weaker Special Allies from him. Nope. So, no option there. I gave him a throne, and he won't even send me a dog.

How do you actually get the knights to help you? I've done quests for both the knights and the dozen's. After I did the quest for the iron golems for the knights he won't give me another quest because i'm friends with the dozen, and I can't find an npc to ask for aid in the battle. Am I missing something?
