I manage to kill both statues with all CC spells I can get. Llitteraly EVERY status effects available to the game are being used. Except those with immunity of course....
I used all the buffs available. Foods, potions etc. This fight feels like most of Pathfinder Kingmaker fights : a buffs and CC festival until you find THAT thing that works. I totally HATE it. F you Thaos !
I would really like to see someone at lvl 8 beat this guy.
Game was designed to be beatable for around level 8-10. 10+ was for the optional mega dungeon and optional boss in caed Nua.
White forge content was all designed to be harder than the main quest and final boss of both white forge parts were designed as harder than main game final boss.
It sounds like you may have turned level scaling for the final act on (when you go to twin elms the game will ask if you wanna scale up levels if the game deems you overleveled (10+). Doing so makes the final boss and dungeon harder, but this was an option added for people who leveled up too much in side content.
I must be stupid as hell or something because the fight at the White forge was stupid easy compared to this.
Seriously, who said WM1 final fight was supposed to be design way harder ? that's a total lie. I was level 9 when I finish WM1 and I reloaded only once.
I guess I'm gonna reload before the pit and grind some XP. Even though I totally hate it. Crongrats Thaos, you made me not enjoy the game anymore....aaaaaaahhh
Perhaps your team hasn't prepared well for the final battle. On Normal difficulty, if you utilize some of the available bonus options (food, drugs, Survival skill resting bonuses, potions, scrolls, enchanted equipment, unique equipment with bonuses, ...), that will make a huge difference. And even on PotD mode, those options are not mandatory. Furthermore, offense can be the better defense, and trying to survive the onslaught can be a bad idea in many battles. With smart choices like specializing as Vessel killers and/or using St.Ydwen's Redeemer, Thaos' two headmen can be eliminated within seconds.
You don't even have the level 2 spell suppress affliction?
Or the level 4 spell prayer against bewilderment?
No paladin with Aegis of loyalty?
Liberating exhortation?
Theres also enchantments you can put on any gear that make you immune to confusion.
All of those will hard counter confusion and other status effects.
darn I think I sold that thing. silly me
EDIT (SPOILER ALERT, Kind of):
it turns out it was the only little part of the Battery I did not explore. Awesome. Thanks a lot
huh, really ? how can you do that ? From what I see, I can enchant with additionnal type of damage, give more accuracy, give more accuracy and damage against certain types of enemies...but I don't see anywhere that I can add Immunity ???
Are you sure I can enchant with Immunity or is it only special items found ?

Thank you for your usual thorough response.
I did it. What an incredible experience this game was. I'm so glad I gave it another try. Can't wait to re-start Pillars 2 now that I am imbued with all the story and the lore.
