Best Party Composition vs "the master below"? (Spoilers)
I am about to hire a party with the sole intent of slaying the Adra Dragon because I've seen my friend try it with a normal party and it doesn't look pretty. Up until this point I have only been using-
A monk (me)
Pallenga
Durance
I am on normal difficulty, we are all level 12. I am willing to ditch either of the other two if it'll serve my purpose, they mean nothing to me, NOTHING!

OH also general builds for those characters would be appreciated.

wizard, high (HIGH) level chanter, Stormcaller ranger, paladin, priest, fighter are the most useful there.
Have a dude who can cast paralysis and maelstorm from scrolls.

Are you sure about the chanter? I hear they are great for gun squads but otherwise flimsy.
Tank Chanters with a high Lore are very usefull. Put them upfront spamming scrolls until they have enough song juice to summon some dragons. I'm not a huge fan of them, but even I can't argue their validity.
You need a Priest for Prayer against Fear, Blessing and Devotions for the Faithful and a Cipher for Mental Binding+Ectopsychic Echo. As long as you have those two the fight should be easy. A Druid would also help clear out the adds.
lvl 15 chanter gets a chant that spells autowin vs any dragon.
As others have said you better get a priest to pray against fear and against charming/confusion (if you want to fight square...those damn delemgans) but ultimately scrolls also work. For the rest you need ppl who can constantly disable the dragon (paralyze and prone-spells like the basic wizard grease both work, but paralyze work better).

I can tell you how i defeated it with lvl 10 party with basically all companions and a rogue main on hard dificulty (so it should work on normal), but it was a bit cheesy: i first agreed to help her, then walked to the delemgans and positioned my ppl so that on starting combat i dispatched them very quickly (then saved, cuz it can take a try or two).

Attack delemgans and quickly kill them, then proceed to the down east portion toward the xaurips (on the right edge of the map so as not to aggro the dragon), kill all the xaurips (the dragon is hostile at this point but wont actievely attack you unless you proceed to the east or approach the dragon). When all enemies are dead i again prayed against fear and sent my best tank (eder) towards dragon to paralyze it with scroll (other character were following but way behind). Then i just spammed paralyzing spell from cipher (the cipher was not using abilities till this point so i built up lots of points) and grease from Aloth (all the time, those spells dont last long, have to pause a lot to cast them). I also squeezed a buff or too from priest and the resistance lowering from Aloth, + a few scroll atacks and normal attacks from other party members. The dragon was down fast. Important is not to forget to pray against fear or buff a bit (or diminsh resistances of dragon) at some point, if you do forget then chances are your party members wont connect with the disable spells 1 or 2 times and the dragon one hit sneeze your party to death.

I'm sure there are easier ways to do it but it worked for me.

Thank you so much to Wendigo and Marty Chonks! Sounds like Priest, Cipher and Druid are the important classes.
