The Game Won't Launch on Mac
I've tried everything from uninstalling and reinstalling, to letting it bounce until it stops and trying again. I've deleted every application support file for the game so there could be a clean slate. I have a 2017 macbook pro. My computer can run games pretty decently. Is there a way to get this to run? I verified the files too so thats not an issue

Experiencing the same problem.

I am able to launch it by going inside the app to the binary and opening that with Terminal. ie. entering "/Volumes/USER/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Pillars\ of\ Eternity/PillarsOfEternity.app/Contents/MacOS/PillarsOfEternity ; exit;"
Not sure why it won't launch normally though. This should be fixed.

I too am unable to launch the game on Mac.

Edit: I was able to get the game to launch after changing my Steam Preferences to join the Steam Beta. You can find the option under Preferences/Account The game took a long time to launch for the first time, but it did indeed launch.

Bro, I resolved this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ problem!
Like stockari said, thank you btw, I oppened the terminal into the directory:
"/Volumes/USER/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Pillars\ of\ Eternity/PillarsOfEternity.app/Contents/MacOS"
And i runned the following command:
"sudo chmod +x PillarsOfEternityII"

This command makes the PillarsOfEternityII file an executable.
After that, the game oppened via Steam normaly

I sat around for way too many minutes thinking it would boot up after some script finally finished but it never did. The chmod change worked for me too! Eventually found this thread and was grateful to! It's unfortunate that this game didn't work right out of the box for me on macOS Ventura 13.4

You need to grant Full Disk Access to the app PillarsOfEternity located in the steam library (the download folder you use).
