M1 Mac
Has anyone had any luck getting the Mac version running on M1? I've tried googling, and reports seem to say it runs fine, but whenever I start it I just get a black screen, with the mouse pointer replaced by a hand and music playing in the background. I just have to force quit.I'm on M1 Max.

Mine seems to work fine (2020 M1). I think I had a similar issue when I first installed it and don't remember whether I un-and-re-installed it or just rebooted but eventually I was able to get it running fine and haven't had issues since. You might also try the steam 'validate files' function or whatever it's called. I hope you get it sorted out!

I've eventually discovered that if I press cmd+f to switch to widowed mode then it works. I can then get into the settings and set the graphics options, but for some reason the resolution options only seem to go up to half of native, and if I choose the 16:10 1080p fullscreen resolution that fits exactly below the notch, the screen goes black and displays nothing. If I choose 1728x1117 it works fine, but then it has to be scaled to fit under the notch, meaning I get everything slightly smaller, and a black boarder around the edge.

Compared to running under Windows 11 through Parallels, which will run full native 2160p, fitting perfectly below the notch, and also doesn't suffer from this no capes bug[forums.obsidian.net]. I had to enable Windows 7 compatibility mode to get the Steam Overlay to work, and obviously the frame rate is much lower and more erratic. But so far it's sticking between 40-70, which is good enough for me.

I'm one year late. Did not work to run it from steam for me. But running it by double clicking the app directly in the folder work fine. So i can run it on 4k resolution with no lag on a m1 mac mini 16gb ram.
