Pillars of Eternity quest markers?

Does this game have quest markers? Or is it like Divinity Original Sin where there are no quest markers at all and you have no way of keeping track of your quests?

You have a journal which in text form tells you what to do, similar to Baldur's Gate.

Exactly, no markers on the map nor minimap. Also keeping track of quests is done by reading the journal's quest page. Luckily it shows you the quests progress and what you must do with it's updates. Hope this helped!

It has no markers, but it is much easier to figure out what you need to do and where you need to go unlike some quests in Divinity.

Journal only, but the journal is much clearer. Its not that hard to keep track of your quests really.

There are no quest markers but you can create your own markers and everything is detailed in the journal so you always know where you need to go. Also all important locations are marked on the map.
