Anyway, here is a walkthrough since you are vague about where exactly you are. Perhaps you refer to the pressure plate at the very beginning of the temple, just north of the stairs?

I am on the EGS version, since it had free DLC, and no secret switch has shown up so far. I can normally find them by moving the cursor around on the screen, since it's normally something visible like a sconce or whatever, but couldn't with this one because I didn't think to check for pressure plates.
EGS version seems to be broken in some way. But from asking this question I found out that if you have only just started the game up the switches WILL appear (though not properly, only outline and not highlight), so I am wondering why they don't if the game has been running for a while.
This isn't a problem on the steam version at all, which makes me wonder why the EGS version is effected.
I'm not familiar with the patch status in other game shops. Hopefully they are at v3.07:

I see what you mean. Game labels that whole map/area Temple of Woedica so I just used that.
Also had that same problem on the hidden switch in Endless Paths of Od Nua Level 1 that lets you circumvent the locked door leading to Maerwald.
Your solution worked. Save, completely exit the game, restart the game, reload the save, and the hidden switch/hidden pressure plate is outlined.
I wonder what causes it. Just the game having been open for a little while doesn't seem like something that should cause graphical errors.
