Upgrade to Definitive Edition

Hello,

Can I buy the Definitive Edition to get the expansions of the game or not? When I click to: 'add to cart' I got a message that I already own Pillars of Eternity. I don't get another copy. Does this mean that I got nothing or only the expansions without the base game?

Isn't it the opposite? You buy the expansion pass and get an automatic upgrade?

The Definitive Edition pack isn't an upgrade - it's the whole pack including the base game. You get the same stuff if you buy the Expansion Pass that D'amarr linked, which includes the Royal Edition Upgrade and both parts of The White March. Only thing the Definitive Edition pack includes that the Expansion Pass doesn't is the Deadfire Pack which, as already mentioned, is free.

The install size for the definitive collections is 41 GBs! Wish that I had see some of that information on the store page system requirements. Anyway to just install the base game which lists as 14 GBs? Not sure what is taking up all that data space, but I don't have it available right now.

Dunno of you already found a solution, but when you click on downloadable content with your right mouse button you can select dlc's.
