Most soulbound weapons can proc some additional effects. Abydon's Hammer can inflict prone on crits so it is good for barbarians (Carnage AoE makes prone effect proc separately for anyone in the area affected by Carnage). Monk's Torment's Reach doesn't use weapons while cone AoE of this ability can proc additional effects from weapon enchantments so Abydon's Hammer can prone anyone who get crit from Torment's Reach.

Mythic quality enchantment works well with two handed weapons because base damage is pretty high so it's bump even higher. Give Abydon's Hammer for fighter and he can stack up more damage bonuses from different talents, apperentice sneak attack etc. Only disadvantage in terms of damage Abydon's Hammer can deal is its lack of lash damage.

Soulband weapons benefit from any Weapon Focus talent.
