High Level Or Standard
So the dlc is telling me my party is too high a level then gives me an option to choose either High Level or standard, i want to make the game harder instead of mindless slaughter but the option seems a little....i mean does standard mean that the dlc stays as it is and i remain high level, or does high level mean i remain at a high level???? which do i pick to scale the enemies up to my beefy arcane grandeur?

The option is just there to turn scaling for enemies on and off. "Standard" does not scale enemies, and "High Level" turns scaling on, so the enemies will be higher level and therefore tougher. Your level is unaffected in either case. I, personally, am a wimp, and have never turned level scaling on. I find there is enough of a challenge without it.

Well, one learns about Stalwart around level 4-5 (perhaps a bit earlier if skipping XP) and can go there then, and it will be a challenge. If one waits till level 6-8, it will still be interesting enough, but at higher level one gets the content scaling offer.

The game offers content scaling at four different spots/times: Stalwart, White March part 2, Act 3, and shortly before Act 4. Areas visited before will be unaffected. And Crägholdt is a high-level area already.

Honestly I'd stick to standard unless you're really good at the game. I've had it tell me I was too high, I picked standard and I was still getting my ass handed to me

i picked high level, thanks for the replies guys and yeah Cragholdt is crazy, i think i cleared most of it at level 11, then had to retreat when i got to Concelhaut, man ♥♥♥♥ that guy, i fought my way to him thinking he needed help and i would gain an ally. pretty bitter about that :trolol: Sorry for any spoilers guys.

does enemy scaling effect all areas or only the white march areas?
is it a one time scaling or do they continuously scale to your actual level as soon as you enter a new area?

Actually, the Concelhaut battle isn't that bad. Just have everybody stationed outside the door and have your tanks hold while everybody else rains death on anything that comes at you. I think I was higher than level 11 when I tried it though.

Scaling specific to WM1 and WM2 only affects DLC areas. The other two scaling offers only affect unvisited areas of the base game.

It is not continous. Unless you trigger a new content scaling offer, such as by levelling up further before starting WM2.

I tried it on high level and they wiped the floor with my face. I reloaded and did standard, which is slightly too easy, aber es geht. I've got so much money that I don't know where to spend it. Don't know what the "greater rewards" are. Probably worth it, if you can handle it. Just save your game in a new slot, try the high level mode. If it's too much, reload and pick standard.

Don’t be turned off by high level scaling. The problem you’re running into is that the area where the game asks you if you want high level ALSO happens to be a very difficult area. The matrons, adragans and druids are what makes it so hard, not the level scaling.
