Off-screen Quest: Reward gone?

I just finished "To the Waterline" and the rewarded Iverras's Diving Helmet showed in the Stronghold quest window upon completion.

However, there was no was to pick it up, the window could only be closed. Now the helmet is nowhere to be found: neither stash, nor character inventories.

What did I miss? Was there a way to pick it up after all? How does it work?

It's inside your castle, there's a chest that gets quest rewards in it you have to physically go to to collect

You can find Stronghold quest rewards in your keep: they are placed in the chest in a small room adjacent to the throne room to the right of the Caed Nua throne statue.
This means that you will have to travel to Caed Nua each time you want to pick up a reward.
