But the majority of crpgs players seems to enjoy the constant pausing so I guess my chances are pretty zero to someone actually do what I want via mod or a program to edit AI :(
Devs already abandoned it so no chance for them to port the AI system of Pillars 2 on this one right?
But all gameplays I see there is A LOT of pausing and this kind of put me off :(
If you know any kind of Youtuber that is very good at this game and can make cool fights without pausing every second I would like a link for a lets play!!!
Are you unware that the player sets when the game pauses? Your premise that it only happens during the fight if you manually pause is completely flawed.

In fact, you can disable all auto pausing, if you want. You'll still want to manually pause on the higher difficulties, as the game is designed around the assumption you are doing so, but on lower difficulties such as Easy or Story you can generally get by with only pausing rarely.
Keep in mind this isn't an action RPG though, so it will never play like one.
(Ignore the IE Mod and Dispositions buttons, those are for a mod and aren't present in the standard game)
and yeah I know pause is necessary my dream is that PoE1 gets a AI configuration like PoE2 be it by mod or devs so you still need to pause but not that much and you can focus on spell casters while tanks fight by themselves so you can actually enjoy a little of the fight as it progress :)
Also there is no pause challenges in PoE2 and I think it would be good to be able to do the same on PoE1
Your statement still is invalid. Your implication is that the game would only pause during combat on easier levels when the fact is that it will paused based on whatever criteria the player sets, not just 'at the start of the combat' (which is also controlled by the player). Making sense helps.
Then turn that off, too.
On the easier modes, PoE 1 works fine without auto-pausing, but the auto-slow option is nice.
Yeah sorry and thanks for pointing that out!
I never got a game on GOG since Steam was my first savior where games has real sales in the crappy country I live :)
I like challenge even if I'm not a really good player so that's why I wanted a AI option to make things challenging but not have the need to pause every 1 sec :)
Guess I will have to just jump to the second one or try another game :(
If you don't want to pause, then I recommend playing on story/easy mode.
The game is a tactician's dream, which runs counter to "no pause". If you're going to take advantage of the tactical nature of the combat (ability usage, spell selection and targeting) then you're going to need to pause.
No AI configuration is ever going to be as effective as a human. POE2 has that configuration, but the best players against the hardest AI levels are not going to use it.
