Recommended Build for a Rogue?
I am new to PoE and am looking for a build for a rogue particularly a silver tongued one since I tend to play silver tongued rogues in RPGs. Any reccommendations?

1) Note that the Rogue in this game is not a classic Thief, but more of a mercenary with a slightly higher skill bonus on Mechanics and Stealth. That's just +1 compared with other classes. There are no thieving skills. The Mechanics and Stealth skills are class neutral.

2) Make yourself familiar with the base attributes and what values they govern.

3) Check out the following Wiki section, particularly the six links here and the required attribute values column. You want to raise INT and RES a lot.

D'amarr is right, INT and RES help the most with the dialogue choices. However they are absolutely of useless in combat for a Rogue. I'd advise for high MIG, DEX and PER. MIG and DEX will not give you silver tongues dialogue choices but PER will definitly give you some good things to pick. But they are not in a persuasive nature. PER dialogue options are more the "good observer", keen eyed choices.

As much as I love this game, the attributes don't fit classic RP. F.e. Barbarians are highly motivated to put points into INT. I fear you'll have to make some cuts. But the dialogue choices that come for everybody usually offer a lot of options aswell.
Well, the chosen difficulty mode has not been mentioned, so commenting on usefulness of attributes during combat would be a different thing. Afterall, it's possible to complete the game with killing a lot less than 100 enemies. And a role-player playing a talker will want to resolve various conflicts peacefully anyway.

High INT is not a waste for a Rogue, since it increases the duration of talents and afflictions. High RES gives a little bit more Deflection, if you don't want to play a totally cowardish and fragile Rogue during combat. High MIG isn't necessary, because some 1H weapons, such as a Sabre, do increased base damage. High PER isn't necessary either, because the Rogue comes with very high base Accuracy already, and wielding a single 1H weapon would add a stacking +12 Accuracy compared with 2H, dual-wielding or 1H+shield. And high DEX is nice for increased action speed during combat, but again, not strictly required. There are equipment options to increase DEX. As much as I like high DEX myself for combat focused characters, one doesn't need to enter the field of min-maxing attributes in a first playthrough.
