Apart from the main quest line, there is a single side-quest where the order of completion matters. It's Raedric's Keep aka Lord of a Barren Land. One should complete it before exploring the Twin Elms Hearthsong district. Or else there's the risk of missing a certain NPC, who won't wait forever.
Don't ignore the endless paths its mad exp and loots in there at the bottom. You jsut tried to get too far (actually you ended up about right - you are 5 and found it to get really hard after 5 - come back at lvl 8 and level 8 won't be so hard. The endless paths? get it? endless paths??? They actually do end but its a long term goal. I think its smart to go in there as you level and get some good items. Sounds like you are on the right track for that - you got about everything you can feasibly get right now. Go do other stuff now, but def come back later!
Plus... dude... that's your house. You gonna jsut let em live up in your house like that?
Completely skipped Caed Nua on a new playthrough years later and finished the game in 50 hours time. This time it was very enjoyable.
I guess it's a nice addition content/hours wise but they should've restricted access until the end game, imo.
Hell no.
Agreed with ColorsFade. It is better (imo) let to players explore areas and then they can see if must avoid or not certain things. But restricted zones or limit spaces for level/power or similar can´t fit with a CRPG like Pillars. Devs. want allow freedom in that sense.
I don´t know if is this what ColorsFade want say when refuse the opcion of restrictions, sorry if I musinderstand. See you.
We think equally in this matter comrade :)
Bye!
My point about being overleveled if you do clear it early still stands, though.
If you complete most or all of it, a big part of the game will be way too easy after that.
That was my experience at the time anyway.
For example, if you abandon area of Od Nua and return when you are very, VERY, powerful, the enemies are too weak cause not up to your new level and then is too easy. It is that?
When I finished Od Nua early in my game, all the encounters in the quests/maps after that were very easy.
I would 1 shot kill alot of enemies with my archer for example.
I would breeze through alot of quests without ever having to rest or heal..
Act 2 was just like a story mode honestly.
This was quite a long time ago, maybe things changed. I dunno.
(p.s. I don't have White March.)
