Quick Question About Soulbound items.
ya, i cannot for the life of me figure out if you can have more then one equiped. and considering i want to use both the captains hat and deadfires belt. dude to the +5 dex +3 might +3 resolve +2 int +2 con. it is just perfect combo for my barbairan.

so can you have multiple soulbound items on a single charcter?

Yes, you can wear multiple soulbound items.
But bonuses for the same attributes do not stack - so you will have +3 Dex max (which is still nice).

Attribute bonuses are not additive for multiple items, only the highest bonus from your equipped items applies. The only exception is weapons: if they have a bonus it stacks with the bonuses from other equipment. But attribute bonuses on weapons are rare.

ehh, in the end their really isn't a better item to pick. so i think i can live with that.

If you wear them both fully upgraded you will have:
+ 3 DEX
+3 MIG
+3 RES
+2 INT
+2 CON

Flame Shield that procs on crit once per encounter.
Immunity to the nastiest mind control afflictions (very handy).
And 3 uses of Firebrand per rest (which you can raise up to 6 uses per rest with Forgemaster's Gloves). Firebrand is a very powerful summoned 2-handed sword that is likely to outclass most other 2-handers in the game if you get the summoning items early. It also remains viable till the very end and does very high fire damage. If your main character is a barbarian you MUST try it.
(Combine it with Scion of Flame for better results).

Another thing that you should know about soulbound or summoned weapons is that they use whatever Wepon Focus talent you have. So if you have weapon focus Ruffian for example - a summoned 2-handed sword or a soulbound estoc will still benefit from the Ruffian accuracy bonus even if the talent description does not list these weapon types.

Firebrand has saved my Watcher's ass on a few occasions.

The only disadvantage of soulbound weapons and armors is that they can't be enchanted (including durgan steel). Remember that some of SB items grant different bonuses while bound to different classes.

Stacking is even more complex thing. For better understanding I will just drop info from offciial forum. All credits for Ben No.3 & ofcourse Boeroer:
"BONI FROM EQUIPPMENT:

Boni that come from equippmet (armour, belt, helmet, you get the idea) do not stack. This means that if two pieces of equippment affect the same stat, the weaker bonus will be surpressed.
For example, there is a robe that gives +2 intellect and a ring that gives +4. If you wear both, then the character will not have a +6 intellect boost, he will only have a +4 intellect boost because the stronger ring bonus surpresses the weaker robe bonus.

BONI FROM WEAPONS:

Boni that come from weapons and shields (accuracy, damage, deflection,...) stack with everything, aso within the same weapon. So, for example a dagger has a +5 accuracy bonus. If you give the dagger an accuracy enchant, the stronger one will not surpress the weaker one, they will stack.

Also, boni coming from the weapon style (one handed, two handed, dual wielding, ranged) boost the weapon style stack with everything. Continuing our dagger example, let's say you wanted to dual wield two such daggers. Then the speed bonus from dual wielding will stack with every other speed bonus you are currently using.

BONI FROM PASSIVE SOURCES:

Passive sources are talents and resting/prostitute boni. As a general rule, they stack with everything. However, in the case of resting boni, you will not be able to have more than one inn bonus and more than one camping bonus at the time. You can also only have a single prostitute bonus active, and it only affects your main character.

Boni from talents also stack with everything and each other.

ATTENTION: Modals (like for example a paladins aura) are not considered passive, they fall under the category of active sources.

BONI FROM ACTIVE SOURCES:

Active sources are spells, abilties, consumables and modals. Each one of those does not stack with each other. So, if you for example eat some meat for +1 might and activate frenzy on a barbarian for (amongst other effects) +4 might, the stronger +4 bonus from frenzy will surpress the weaker +1 bonus from meat, so the barbarian will have a might bonus of +4 (rather than +5). The same applies for any modal, ability or spell that come from an other party member.

Consumables are food and drinks, but also potions and scrolls. As mentioned, all of those do not stack with each other or with spells/modals/abilities.

Effects from different categories stack, so for example the +4 intellect bonus from the mentioned ring and a +1 intellect bonus from a fish will stack for an overall +5 intellect bonus.

There are some exceptions, for example if you choose to upgrade a priest's holy radiance so that it gives every ally an +10 accuracy bonus, that bonus will stack with everything, even though it is a spell. This is because it is consudered a passive, even though one might think it is a spell."

EDIT
It seems that Steam doesn't like p r o s t i t u t e bonuses in Pillars.

note, in general i don't plan on using the soulbound weapons... in fact their is only 1 i would consider for my barb. and that one is probly the worst one they ever made. War Club of the Mataru which at max level grants.

spellchance hobble,
spellchance weaken,
Exceptional weapon quality.
accurate 6.

considering i am going with a life steal build. this really dosn't help me in the slightest even thou it is the most accurate weapon in the game.

The best weapon for barb is Bittercut enchanted for quality and corrosive lash with Spirit of Decay talent. Since Bittercut does corrode/slash damage it gets bonus from Spirit of Decay not only for Corrosive Lash but for base weapon damge too (because corrode is listed as first type of damage). You can max out Bittercut and then clone it with Hellwax Mold.

Barb is the best with two weapons or weapon & shield with bash (like Dragon's Maw). It makes difference while using Heart of Fury and because of carnage.

About weapon's accuracy is one specific rule. If the weapon grants + accuracy and an ability does damage + additional effect, its weapon's acc bonus is used only for the first roll , e. g. fighter's knockdown: 1. accuracy vs deflection (it gains acc bonus from weapon) then another roll accuracy vs fortitude (that second roll is calculated without acc bonus from weapon).

All spellchance of War Club of the Mataru should procs on targets in range of the carnage as with Heart of Fury. Spellchance works with AoE attacks and for every target in range is separated chance to proc. It's pretty crazy when wizard with blast talent uses Golden Gaze rod.
