Can't enter Concelhaut's room (read all four notes)

I'm trying to get into Concelhaut's room for the quest Siege of Crägholdt. I have and read all four notes from the four apprentices (Tanoss's Note, Pelden's Note, Sabel's Note, and Uriaki's Note) However I'm not getting a fourth option for the second question (Pride according to the wiki).

This is surely a bug. Is there a work around?

edit: To be clear, I don't just possess the notes, I've opened/read them.

edit2: I tried verifying my game directory, but that didn't help.

edit3: For whatever reason it just decided to work.

Not sure this helps but after you read the 4 notes you have to answer the questions using the correct note for each question. Then the door will open

Yeah. The problem is, as I said, the option for "Pride" isn't showing.

You may need to reload an older savegame and try to reproduce. Know that it isn't a common bug that affects everyone. It may be specific to your game, it may be a side-effect of something else, a bug that has crept in spontaneously.

If you hope for a console command, asking on the official forum may be the better idea.

I will ask for a console command. I was hoping to wrap this game up before PoE2 comes out. I have this, the Alpine Dragon, then the bog dragons left.

edit: Any save I have before that is going to be somewhat old.

For some reason it simply worked this morning. I don't know why, but I reread the notes (again) and the quest log updated.

This may work: You have open the notes and scroll down to the end.

I had a similar/same issue. I posses all four notes. Just three of them appear in the "quest items" stash. One is in my inventory. I cannot enter Concelhaut's room because the correct answer ("a warded mind") does not appear in the dialogue box. I OPENED all notes. Nothing helped.

Then I opened Tanos' note and SCROLLED DOWN to the section where the answer to the door riddle is written. Then quest log was updated and I can chose the answer from the dialogue box.

Maybe it is not a bug but intended so that the player does not simply solve the riddle at C's door by "trial and error".

look pillar of eternity wikipedia, if you really have all four parchments of the four apprentices you just have to give the answers you will read on POE wikipedia to the questions that will be asked by interacting with the door ....

if you see that persists not to open charge an old rescue and remake the whole part of the game to access the archmage's study

Sorry to necro a thread but stuck on the same spot. i bought PoE1 because I never played it. I wanted to finish this before buying PoE2. Any help is greatly appreciated. In short, the "Pride" answer option isn't showing up so it just keeps telling me to go back and read the notes. I've run through this a few times trying the different options, still same thing. Help?

I'm not sure what I did to make it work, but maybe scroll down?
