Is there any way to fix Kana.
I like Kana as a character, he has great banter. And his stats are decent.

But he starts with those stupid useless skeletons, and the AI script always summons them instead of the spectre. And trying to micro him is a pain because i always screw up the timing.

Is there any way to make him lose those stupid skeletons and get the grubs instead?

Like, at least the game now lets you control character level ups, but they still stick you with the WORST POSSIBLE choices at level 1 for every NPC.

I miss BG2, where most NPCs had the BEST kit for their class..

You can respec him (or anyone else) at any inn and select different invocations for a modest fee.

What?

The game only lets me respec my char and hired adventurers not the NPCs

Furthermore there is an setting under the "Difficulty" section of the in-game options that makes all NPCs revert back to level one when you first hook-up with them, allowing you to in essence get a one-time, free respec for them as you re-level up them to their current level.

EDIT: But yeah, the intitial "character creation" options will remain as the devs made them. A potential Paladin ally you can encounter later on cannot be made to have Lay on Hands over Flames of Devotion, for example (but you can pick it as an additional option later, of course)....

You need the first part of the whitch march expansion DLC to be able to respec companions I believe

Does that include the setting I'm talking about above?

I don't know, since I only bought the game recently (like a few weeks ago), and bought both parts of the white march with the game right away, the respec being one of the main reasons I opted to get them right away. That one being very clear in the store page of the part 1, but yeah I never actually played the game without the white march expansion (hence why I added the "I believe" as well at the end of my last post). Although if I had to hazard a geuss I would say is is very possible it would be needed, as it kinda fit into the same alley, but I have very little to no things to base that on

Yeah, I also bought it WITH the expansion(s) so I wouldn't know either... :/

I guess you need the expansions cuz I'm pretty sure I can respec companions.

Actuly the game is now letting me respec them. It wasn't when i first collected Eder and Aloth. Maybe i need to level them up at least once or get Caed Nua first?
