Is the disabling of achievements global, or per savegame? I usually try and do at least one playthrough before enabling consoles or cheats, but I assumed PoE was just like D&D where you can adjust attributes every 3 or so levels. I completely fubared my attribute build and essentially came up with a jack-of-all-trades, master of none. I want to adjust them, but I'd rather not start over, and don't want to disable achievements on my first playthrough. If I can avoid it.
Does anyone know?
For some coin (which later in the game you have tons of) you can retrain your character from level 1. You do it at an inn, price depends on level.
You can bypass that effect on some commands by using the IEmod, which wont disable your achievements. Unless thats changed with recent patches. I think its on Nexus somewhere,
There was also an old and very limited save editor, called EternityKeeper, which at the very least allowed you to edit the attribute totals of your characters. Its a few patches behind now, but last I checked its basic features still worked!
Otherwise, as Val said, you can pay to retrain... though I dont think that affects your starting stats.
Yeah I tried the retrain, but it doesn't allow me to redistribute my attribute points. Basically being unfamiliar with the system, I didn't put enough points into might, and I am most definitely paying for it now. Particularly against those damnable dragons. Oy! I have all the resilience of an origami battleship :( lol
Thank you for the responses guys! I appreciate it. Guess I'll either muddle through, start over, or sacrifice my achievements. Or look for those mod to see if they're still around.
Thanks again guys!
Now if only something explained the craft/enchanting system better... ;)
At least I figured it out, after some searching that cut sharply into my gaming time. ;)
