Spells

Is there anyway to guarantee getting spells? For instance, is the mages guild a guarantee of all of the spell levels of that school? And town portal seems random so not a strat you can stay within your area till unlocking. Anyone have general tips/tricks? I can't play melee heroes worth a darn either, I use them to facetank early for weaker units and end up just getting steamrolled by the computer....

Pennon and Battle will undergo maintenance at 4:30 PM(Pacific Time) on March 17th. During this maintenance, there will be an expected downtime of 0.5 hour. It is recommended that all players log out of the game in advance and log back in after the maintenance is complete.
