Cross inventory not working because of inactivity on other platform?

Is one of the biggest points of cross inventory not how you can switch platforms without losing your purchases from the last platform you used? Why must I remain active on both for the cross inventory to remain? That just defeats the whole purpose and is flat out anti-consumer.

it is not how it works , the cross inventory works perfectelly fine. it works by sharing the inventory of your "MAIN" account to all other linked accounts , regardless of what they have , meaning :

if you buy or use a code on another plateform than your main , it will most probably not sync with your main aand other plateform , it will stay on said plateform .

if you want to buy something , do it on your main , this way every single account you link to your main will have said object you purchased ( IN THE CASE OF A DLC , YOU ONLY GET THE OBJECTS , NOT THE ACTUAL DLC "TICKET")

This isn't what they mean, what they mean is that in order for your items to stay in a linked account, you have to log into your "main" account once a month in order for the inventories to be shared. It's really frustrating and super annoying, what if a player has already sold off their console and want their inventory to be shared on PC? It simply won't work after thirty days.

i agree it makes literally no sense at all and is just frustrating. i cannot think of a single reason for adding this.
