Hahahahahah my side
I'll reply with my statement in another post.
Competitive Nature
So, competitive nature, it's disconnecting and dehumanizing. Every time someone "starves" their opponent from accessing a weapon to have an enjoyable fight. Every time someone emotes because they knocked someone off.
Humans have senses we aren't aware of. It's just like when someone is looking at you and you catch it and look around for who's staring at you.
Every time someone is negative over a game, some of us feel it. Some more than others. Most have turned themselves off to it, hence the disconnect.
Even if that person doesn't acknowledge it. There are pieces of that human being torn apart. Every single time. Yes there are some that can put on a smile and act like it's just a fun game. However eventually even they get knocked down. Become enraged, get angry, close the game, become sad, stop playing, etc. They become dehumanized and disconnected, dominating their opponents because winning is good, winning is success, winning gets you money.
Any who, hate on me all you want. But I've watched my son disconnect and become dehumanized over many years of gaming online. Mixed with people being toxic and negative and the dehumanizing nature of dominating your opponents.
I started college to see if I'm correct. Turns out there isn't a lot of data about this subject. There's no psychology classes, no internet mediation classes, there is nothing about online experiences with other humans and the negative affects of it. But I've been witness and victim to it countless times.
My point is, lets stop with this competitive destroy the other human so you win ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It's really dampening the gaming community. Just not to those who admit or see it.
There's more to the problem than just the people who play and want to have fun and that getting in the way of your disconnected dehumanized mentality when it comes to playing games with a competitive mindset.
