Change your name then change it back then restart steam its a common issue with some steam games I'm not sure if it'll work for you tho

Maybe you have to click in the text field first? Sadly you cant just start to type.

Can you type in the chat, but nothing shows up when you press Enter?
Is this happening in Custom Lobbies?
Or is it happening in post-game Matchmaking?

Sorry, I'll be more clear. It happens post game matchmaking, I used to be able to say "gg" or trash talk or say they're laggy or sorry for the lag and stuff, but now when I type in the box and press enter I never see my own message, but I can still see theirs. Happens in both 4 man FFA and 1vs1 ranked. Haven't tried custom game lobbies.
