Newbie playing Lucien and thoughts so far.

Just started playing the game recently and my main is Lucien. But can i honestly say this? I think Lucien kinda sucks. The armblades are very funky to use due to the fact that a lot of the attacks go over peoples heads and they dont to much damage. The gun air upper cut doesnt hit correctly either. IIt seems like a slight buff may be needed because even if the enemy is in the red my attacks barely do the job. Also I keep running into 2 characters. The red haired girl and the dude with the tiger skin on. I guess its because the hammer and the staff are some of the best weapons because they have a long reach and those 2 characters have incredible power with them.

Actually katars, guns, and spears are the best weapons in game atm :( katars can do up to 40 dmg .

Najam22 I will gladly show you the power of the Katars. I'm not very good with the guns, but they're really solid as well. Lucien is a very good character.

Keep practicing and it'll come to you. His speed makes him a crazy tough fighter when mixed with those katars. Try practicing some kill-moves (moves that send your opponent flying relatively easy). I think his up-air is pretty decent, iirc.

I have to agree about Gnash though. I've seen a ton, and I feel like the hammer is definitely the reason there.

As to the OP, katars are a little weird. They have a sort of oblique play style and I think that's why so few people play them. However, they are a very good weapon. Probably swords are the only thing with more attack chain potential.

Check the katar section. These only demonstrate the 'true' combos but often you can use these to lead in with even more attacks.

Lucien is one of the best characters but I'm not sure he's the best for a player who's just starting out. Both of his weapons have slightly higher learning curves than other weapons.

As a noob I hated Lucien but now hes in my crew so you just gotta learn how to use him. Use his speed to your advantage and taking heavy damage at all costs.
