Thoughts on thatch?

I've been playing with him since i could buy him as my first char, i've understood all his mechanics and i'm quite good with him, although i'm surprised i never face him.
I was wondering if he might be underpowered.

Any thoughts?

you guys are wrong about spammers

1. Orion
2. Ada
3. Hattori
4. Lucian

I'm not sure if i'm the only one but i find pistols horribe vs most legends, especially ones like terros and hattori, if i'm lucky i can get 1 or 2 autoattacks right before i get rekt. I can dodge their first attack but then theres pretty much nothing to do. I only find it good vs ada, especially when she keeps spamming side sig with her guns. Maybe i'm doing thins wrong?

When using pistols, you GOT to have your spacing game down or you'll be in for a bad time. Pistols have a long max range, but also a long minimum range - meaning they have a pretty big deadzone. If you let your opponents in there, you're in for a bad time.

Pistols aren't bad IMO, but I'd say the skillcap on them is higher than some other weapons.

How can thatch be a spam character??? His sigs are super slow to set up, and ofc gotta spam quick attack but which character doesn't? In average i use sigs 10 times less than my opponents

I dunno, it just seems that every Thatch player just spams. I'm not even exaggerating.

But what do you call spamming? Because like i said it's impossible to spam special attacks, and who doesn't spam fast-attacks? As much as any gun or sword char anyways

Running Light with sword, cannonball move with gun. Jesus, can't they do anything else for once, instead of raging because I did more than exactly two moves? I try to add as much variety to my arsenal as possible.

Lol spamming cannonball move? That's impossible, so easy to dodge and insanely long recovery... When i spam cannonball it's just for fun but i usually get rekt for it, unless my opponent is REALLY bad, i mean all you gotta do i run straight for thatch and cannonballs won't hit. It's only very situational.

And as for 'running light with sword', how can that be considered spamming, it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ quick attack, rou're supposed to use that often.

I meant as in general mindset. I don't find it too annoying, as I usually win against spammers because of their predictability. Also I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up when I said cannonball, so that's why it sounded silly, I meant the Wave Slash (Cannonball is useless IMO.)

Flowchart Thatch should become a thing.

Is opponent at a distance? = Wave Slash even if you won't hit anything.
Is opponent close to you? = Running Light.

I don't consider using the move in itself often spamming, I do find that using only 2 moves and absolutely nothing else spamming though. Although granted, it's not as bad as a certain game's Hadouken Spam.

But in overall spamming, Thatch spam is pretty easy to deal with because all of his heavy attacks have recovery time of 502 gazillion years.

Holy crap dude, you really are overexaggerating by a long shot now. Thatch is one of the rare legends that mostly gets played by people that have the slightest idea of what they're doing, I have NEVER seen a single Thatch that just spams.

Maybe we're not playing the same game, but I'm utterly amazed about how you seem so triggered by Thatch players but seem to be okay with Hattori, Lucien, or Orion scrubs.

Trust me, I'm not OK with Hattori, Lucien, or Orion scrubs either. Mainly Hattori because spammers give other people who main her like me a very bad reputation. I think it just depends on where you are in the world, because I've come across quite a few Thatch spammers.

Also I agree on Orion spam, but I haven't really seen any Lucien spammers.
