Were some of the legends inspired by borderlands characters?

Ada = Maya/Lilith
Barraza = Krieg
Cassidy = Nisha

Less resemblance
Scarlet = Gaige
Hattori = Zero

Sorta just a thing I noticed

No. Most are based off of generic cultural themes and fantasy settings. Barraza is based on the Mad Max movie that was new at the time of his release.

I always figured Barazza could have been based off the Mad Max movie, but I'm not sure about that.

Okay some of them might have been a stretch (They looked like they fit with the artstyle I guess) but I still think that Bazzara heavily resembles Krieg, and Cassidy looks a lot like Nisha

That's because Nisha and Cassidy are both generic cowgirl character designs.

I think I got a little carried away after noticing similarities between Bazzara and Krieg, and I was pretty tired at the time
