-side heavy is pretty much worthless because it´s so slow and previssible that it pretty much never lands
-down heavy requires the enemy to run into it or be baited into it
-neutral heavy is uncomfortable and has an awkward hitbox - too high if the opponent on land, but also often too low if he´s on the air
-bow light attacks are slow and require you to have a good distance with the opponent. If he´s rushing you (as usually happens with many weapons) then you can´t do anything about it. But still it has less range, I think, than other long weapons like axe or hammer
-----bow SL slows you down so much that it feels like you´re a sitting duck every time you attack, and due to the low defense it becomes an almost certain death sentence
-/+ bow light attacks are weird and hard to aim because they have unexpected directions or awkward angles
-bow attacks in general have very thin hitboxes. While other characters cover half the map with every attack, the bow (Ember in general) requires a lot of precission because a slight deviation is enough to miss
That combo and its brutal base damage it´s the only thing the bow has going for itself. And let´s be honest, if you let me hit you with a bow SL, you deserve to get the whole combo. It´s just too easy to dodge or punish.
The only other positive points of the bow are that most people aren´t used to it because it has weird attack angles (so it´s nice to surprise someone, even if it also means it´s harder for me to actually get anything done) and the air SL attacks, which pair well with the speed of the character.
I wouldn´t complain if that combo gets nerfed (it IS very damn powerful), but the bow as a whole needs to be reworked and mostly buffed.
So stop complaining you don't dodge, or someone times the combo perfectly.
