Is playing with a controller better?

Just wanted to know if I hsould play with a controller or keyboard.

i dont have controller but have a game like it on xbox my theory is the steam controllers like the xbox controller from what ive seen i play with keyboard on my pc so yes controller is better

In 40 hours of brawlhalla, I don't even know the controls for the keyboard. For me, its just natural to play platformers with a controller.

Personally I'd say the mouse and keyboard combo is the best, if your are an intense PC gamer the mouse keyboard combo should come naturally

All fighting games are usually better played with a controller or gamepad/joystick because they were originally designed with that more in mind.

Whatever feels more natural to you, just try both.

I personally can't stand joysticks and I'm used to arcade fighters/smash fangames on PC and I don't have a controller that works with PC so I use keyboard only and it's great.

for me, i use arrow keys and z,x,c,v. usually i'm looking for air battles, keyboard suits me more than controller. but if i want to play ground battles, i use controller.

I've always played games with a keyboard, and when I tried playing Brawlhalla with a controller it was terrible. I quess racing games or hardcore fighting games are better with a controler, but playing Brawlhalla with a keyboard is pretty comfortable.

I don't have the key rollover necessary on my keyboard. I'm doing like five actions in a short timespan, and using keyboard for me would handicap me severely because of my keyboard's hard limit of three buttons at once.

Some people can't do keyboard even if they wanted to try. (That and it's cheaper to get a gamepad than a quality KB&M.)

The wired Xbox 360 controller works seamlessly for me on PC and my Macbook after installing the proper drivers. I don't last long in a brawl using the keyboard and mouse lol...

In my own experience... Playing with a controller is a lot better than using a keyboard. The reason for this is because the buttons on a controller are usually less "clunky" - They feel a lot smoother imo, specially for fighting games where reaction and timing is very important.

Also... It's more comfortable to lay down on a couch and use a controller than it is to lay down on a couch and use a keyboard and mouse, that's the other thing to think about.
