And no, I'm not gonna buy it. I'm asking how does one earn enough gold quickly for the higher-end characters. Thanks for your contributation.

The most time efficient is probably to create a custom game against bots that runs 20 minutes.

lol, is that true?

I think the most time efficient way is to just do the daily login and daily missions. Maybe FFA since that's 50 Gold a win.

Gold is pretty much the same everywhere. You get it as you play any online match. You also get bonuses for leveling up your account, and leveling characters to level 7, and every other level past their, as well as daily logins and daily missions.

One thing though, there are no "higher end characters" only more expensive ones. All characters are viable, and some of the cheap ones like ada and teros are common on higher levels.

It's definently not true.

Basically what infamous said.
Also, 20 minute matches will give around 200 gold.
5 minute matches give about 50 gold.
EXP is twice what your gold gain is.
So Isokon is right.

Is it possible to go afk? Last I checke, it does not reward you for being inactive, does that mean I have to play a 20 minute match?

You have to be active in order to get your exp and gold.
Alright I get it. Thanks for the tips!

Wait, so is Infamous right, or is Isokon right? All Infamous said is that Isokon is wrong.

Infamous is right in everything except the statement that I am not right. :p

Seriously though, you get gold and xp based on the time a match takes. If you play one 20 minute match you have less downtime than playing four 5 minute matches (legend selection, matchmaking etc.). So playing a long match is more gold/xp for the time invested.

Unless you consistently get less than 40 gold in FFA, FFA is still the fastest. But as long as you are active enough and try to win, even 3rd place can get as much as 42 gold.

20-minute customs give you more consistent gains for less effort, but FFA gives more with effort.

Sorry, but this is not correct. FFA gives you as much with effort as custom 20min gives you without effort.

No, it does not. In a custom you will earn approximately 10 gold/minute. However, I kept a record of 100 FFA games, and I earned an average of 11 gold per minute over those 100 games, and that is after factoring in a 10 second wait between games.

I've done the math on this one.

You are telling me you get more than 55 gold per match on average? When was that?

FFAs are 4 minutes long...
