Why am I playing against a gold ranked player when I'm a silver 2/3?!?!?!

Would you just put me with somebody of my own rank, I mean come on any silver would do! but no I'm playing mid and low gold every other game. And another thing Gold seriously needs to stfu post game say gg and leave, no "EZ" or "man you suck". The only people I hear saying these things are self righteous gold players. So stop with your huge ass ego and shut up.

Yeah, I get matched against diamond and even platinum (!) players while I am gold myself.

I hope you do realize those are borders and that they are at your rank. The matchmaking is not broken, some people are just climbing back still.

The Season 2 reset bought some unexpected problems, one of them being unbalanced match making. Hopefully this will be resolved somehow sooner or later.

It'll be resolved when diamonds and plats farm up their 150ish wins. I still meet diamond and plat players at around 1100ish ELO committing suicide to dump their rank so they can farm wins off of less-skilled players.

As a gold 8/10 of my matches are vs plats. 1/10 vs diamond and 1/10 vs MY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RANK. Its never a fair fight. The sad part is every so so often I'll fight a sliver or bronze. WTF. IMO you shouldn't even be allowed to fight someone over 1 teir of your level. Whats going on is the people who run this game don't understand what its like to be a silver, or gold because the made the game. Dispite everyone telling them that this ♥♥♥♥ is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and broken, they still have a broke ass system that doesnt do anything but punish people. I believe the devs are fu*ked up people. It really seems like they enjoy peoples suffering. To me.. the devs are just trolls out right.

You do realize you're going to get matched up with the players at the rank you are about to get.

Thats like me being 1900 expecting to get matched up with only other plats. While it is possible, im probably going to be matched up against the people who are early diamond too.

I'm plat and I usually just drop to 1300 elo and ♥♥♥♥ on silvers and then repeat so L+ get gud

reasons why you play against high ranked players and why you should be happy about that and not mad:
1. playing against better people helps you improve, youll notice your mistakes and can rewatch your replays to get better
2. you get more elo if you win
3. in order to get gold you should be able to beat a gold so if youre high silver and cant beat a gold why should you get gold?

There's a term for this, "Elo Inflation." Since the season reset, and there's placement matches, you can queue people usually higher than you because those people are queueing more than people in your rank.
