Was 50+ away from plat, but lost over 150 elo in one night. Don't play when triggered.
Anyways, I main Ember and was trying to grind to play one tricking her. Ran into the same Sir Roland every game that was obviously A LOT higher elo than me (and I think he purposely deranked to farm elo/glory), so I just started suiciding after he's already beat me 5 times. I was able to get back up a little bit, but am still about 100 away from where I was.

With that said, I feel like I need to main someone else. I really love bow and was getting the hang of katars. Oh, I also ran into an insane Yumiko, whom I thought was a low tier legend, but guess I as wrong. They beat me 1-2 times, and I was able to beat them once. Anyways, I feel like I need to learn a new legend to expand my legend pool. To give some context I have 140 hours in Brawlhalla, and my Ember is level 37. So you can see how much I play her, but she's too much of a glass cannon due to her stats I feel. Out of these characters I want to main another 1-2. Asuri (because katars, and after playing this insane Roland I feel sword are better than I had assumed), Zariel (because his bow sigs are great for different end strings), and then maybe Artemis or Mirage. I have a feel for the obvious spear strings, but ppl at this elo know how and when to dodge. I don't know scythe, but would love to.

Does anyone have any tips for these characters, which character I should practice next to main so I'm not a one trick, or any tips for Ember in general? My elo was at 1557 (peak), and now I'm back down to 1414 ): (Yeah, don't play ranked when triggered or if you've gone against the same enemy 2-3 times that's beat you).

If you want to add me to play, feel free, but I would also like to use Discord to exchange tips maybe. Any comments would be great, just please no toxicity. This is my favorite game, and toxicity is why I stopped playing ranked Overwatch, and other ranked multiplayer games. I don't want that to happen here, but don't think it will. Thanks.

If you want a tip : if you lose 2 or 3 times when you start your session just don't keep playing ranked mode because it would be a waste of elo, also sometimes people are "calm" and they think they aren't triggered so they rush their computer into the ranked mod but it's better to wait a couple of days before going to ranked again to prevent tilting and stuff.

You are exactly right. I just started playing in March, and my first season ended in 1399. Started this season I won 12 games, and only lost 3 (iirc), hence my elo being at 1557 when starting from 1399. I should have done this. Every and the last time I saw that Sir Roland, my heart just sank. Especially the last time after seeing 0-5 pre-match. I know it's just a game, but I'll be honest. It seriously made me feel crushed. As pxssy as it is for me to say that it's the truth. Meh. I know I'm only at 140 hours, but was hoping to hit plat before 200 hours. It isn't a competition, but was a goal. I was only 68 elo away. I felt like I should be at a higher elo, but after last night I don't know if I belong here. Meh. Maybe I'm still triggered/salty.

I definitely recommend Asuri, Artemis, and Lucien or Caspian for you to expand out with. Originally i mained Fait but now i like to go between Ember, Artemis, and Fait just to stay savvy. It's always good to expand out and use other characters (in friendlys of course) and do so easily by associating with daily missions. "Sword ko's? Oh bet lemme go catch Sidra i've been meaning to check her out" etc. I'm currently learning blasters and cannon with xull and lord vraxx, and the learning process has been a lot easier since i had already branched and used axe with Jhala and rocket lance with Artemis. In conclusion though, rocket lance, scythe, and gauntlets is always good to know, and axe is pretty easy to just use. Branch out practice, and feel free to add me to spar.

The weapons I'm having a tough time learning are blasters and hammers. I think those 2 are my biggest weaknesses if I'm playing them. Then characters I hate playing against is anyone with cannon or axe and someone that knows how to use them, oh and sword. Watching Simba play as Hattori made me realize how insane you can be with swords.

i hate playing against cannon and axe aswell, knowing the axe is going to be a jhala or barraza spammer, or a really good ulgrim, and anyone playing isaiah is gonna be beast, same thing for cannon. All i can really say for that is study up and practice up so you can increase your readability on those weapons. Hammer is pretty simple once you start using it and blasters takes a LOT of time, it's got to be the hardest one to use without just spamming sigs. To practice i go in with the bot in training on medium setting, until i get 10 or 15 depending on how much time i have or how far along i am i can switch bots. When i get comfortable i might bump it 20 or just put the bot on hard. When going in with legends i often use or main i bump it to 20 automatically and set the bot on hard first thing. Remember character versatility is always good don't be afraid to slap it on random sometimes. Hopefullly this helps~

Yeah, I've been practicing in training against bots. I usually put the bots on hard w/ dodge on them, and damage reset on them as well since they bots after all. I don't own the all legends pack, so this is the best way I can practice. I have the legends pack on Xbox, but after I discovered the game and switched to Pc it's so different playing on Xbox bcus of input delay/lag. So I'm just grinding out gold, practice who I want to main next, and unlock them. I've already purchased the colors for them before even owning those legends in my initial post. I also have a hard time playing against Xull or Teros, with max force. It's like 3-4 hits and I'm dead, without sigs. That shxt is too strong. Range is also an issue so it looks I'll like I'll need to practice and do more research to figure out the range and when to and not to dodge since it's a different window versus dodging close range weapons.

I looked through my replays and it wasn't you. No one really 'destroyed' me last night aside the Sir Roland I went against 5 times.

Yeah thats good. Always wait if youre getting emotional when ranked IN ANY GAME, hours or even days depending on the person

Yeah, what's crazy is that I usually don't play ranked. When I reached my peak this season (1557) it was only within 15 games. I'm starting to think I should play more though, when in the right mindset, and when I learn more legends/weapon sets so I know how to counter/dodge against them. Also, I should play more than I do (which used to be 1-3 games max, as long as my elo is higher then when starting that day/night) to also farm glory to get skyforge Ember.

Pathetic.

Also, level 37 isn't much, so you can just stick to Ember: katars are broken right now and, as you said, you're good at bow, so just go for it.
If you want a different legend, first choose based on their weapons and only then their stats and signatures.

I don't think you've chosen a right game – Brawlhalla is toxic as ♥♥♥♥.

No u. Ur garbage tbh.

Anyway I wanted to reply about the bots for training. I think they don't really play like a real player so true practice can not be with bots

I don’t think BH is toxic at all, at least I haven’t come across any, but I was referring more towards the comments on my post. Thanks for your reply.

Oh yeah,I totally understand that. Nothing will ever replicate a player of said elo than an actual player, but it’s still good to practice to learn dodge windows after tweaking the bots settings. I usually turn damage reset on when grounded and dodge on to practice true combo strings. Not looking to play against a bot to see if I can simply beat a bot, cus literally anyone can beat a beat on hard setting.
