How to use Gamecube Controller
I want to use my gamecube controller to play. I already have a driver set up for it (vJoy) and it works for Rivals of Aether. On top of this, the game recognizes that I have a gamecube controller plugged in, as in my controlls settings it gives me the "Gamecube Adapter for Wii U" option, but no matter how I try I can't get it to actually recognize any imputs. Any help?

The controller system is pretty messed up. But I dont think this game supports gamecube tho. It only supports keyboard, ps4 and xbox controllers. But if it makes you feel better my controller inputs are retarded if I change them.

try using x360ce instead of vjoy, my Nintendo controllers tend to play nicer with that rather than vjoy
additionally, you could try running brawlhalla through steam big picture mode, that's helped me when games were incompatible with controllers

Using the Mayflash GameCube adapter here, and it supports it just fine for me with no tweaks or 3rd party software needed. Only problem I have is that it only recognizes one of them, so I can't use two GameCube controllers for local multiplayer in this game.

Neither of these worked for me. Should I uninstall vJoy first and then use x360? That's the only thing I can think of.

Do you know if it would work with just the nintendo gamecube adapter?

I had the same setup as you with the same problems but for some reason the issue resolved itself when I put my GC controller in the second port instead of the first. Very weird but you might want to try it if you're still interested
