Lots of players use a movement technique known as "dash jump fast fall", where in you input a dash jump, and immediately after fast fall to fall to the ground faster, allowing you to dash jump almost immediately after. Essentially, you are going to input dash, then input jump immediately after, and then right as you press your jump key, start holding down so that you start fastfalling.
