Onyx True Combo

Hey all-
Found a true combo I wasn't aware of on Onyx and figured I'd share it in case others did not know.

Cannon dlight-nsig can be hit true
You have to space the dlight so that it is at max range and the furthest edge of the hitbox hits the opponent. Then time the nsig input properly. This is fairly tight timing and the spacing needs to be correct but if you practice it you can get it down. I have been performing this combo on 3 dex Onyx, so you don't need to run dex stance. (You shouldn't anyways because dex sucks lmao)

It's situational because you need the correct spacing, but it gives a powerful kill confirm if landed. In other situations you can obviously just go for dlight-dair or dlight-nair
Dlight-nsig or slight-nsig are also good as strings in general. Even if you don't hit it true, you can get dlight-nsig down to 2/3/4 frames depending on where dlight hits and it can be good for a kill if the opponent has no dodge. Slight-nsig might be a better option now for reads because slight-sair and slight-dair are jumpable (RIP).

nice, btw dlight nsig with teros's hammer is also true. I think there are a lot of combos that have sigs that are actually true.

I found this on accident a couple weeks ago actually but thought it was too situational to be used considering the spacing

Yeah I know, other things like dlight-nisg on Cassidy or Kor hammer. The point I was trying to make was that this isn't a conventional sig true combo because it requires precise spacing. But you're correct, there are multiple sig true combos in the game.

Yeah it's not easy to pull off but I have hit it in a couple games. Generally you can just go for the safer combos like dlight-dair or dlight-nair unless you're confident its spaced properly in which case you can hitconfirm into nsig.
